Carnet Advanced

The Carnet de Ciclista Advanced is a non-competitive road cycling challenge where the objective is to start from Girona and go to Andorra, round trip conquering the most mythical mountain passes of the Pyrenees. A challenge that covers 440km with 7500m of elevation gain.

In case you have the “Giruní” card, we will give you the Advanced Cyclist Card.

Participants that do not already hold the ‘Girona’ license will be issued with a finisher’s medal.

It is necessary to be fit and well trained in order to tackle this challenge.

There will be 6 refreshment checkpoints each day along the route, each fully equipped with drinks, sandwiches, Coca Cola, sweets, water, ham, bread, olives, fuet and crisps. In addition, 2 assistance vehicles will accompany riders to provide support in case of mechanical issues or abandonment. There will also be two lead riders for each group of 15 cyclists, and one motorcycle support rider for each group. Upon arrival in Andorra, we will stay at a 3 or 4 strar hotel organised by Vertidissim. The assistance cars will transport everything you need to have a great experience, including your luggage and the refreshments necessary to fuel riders during the event.

Coffee and a croissant at the start line.

Assistance across the entire route.

20:00 – Estimated arrival in Girona

21:00 – Barbecue and live music at the finish line

Advanced Standard Card: Anyone who completes the tour on a bicycle (non-electric) will have access to this card. It has a one year validity, and must be renewed in order to maintain access to the associated benefits.

Advanced Black Card: The KOM and QOM (fastest male and female) of the day of the event, who complete the 5 uphill sections of each pass in the shortest time, will have a Black Card, valid for 6 months. You can’t be that strong! Remember, this is not a race, it’s a challenge… but we don’t want anyone to beat us.

Advanced Green Card: The slowest man and woman in the 5 uphill segments will have a Green Card with 24 months of validity, so they have more time to train and improve their performance.
