Trail Running in the Mont Blanc Region: 6-Day Training Camp in the Aosta Valley

Run sections of the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) and the UTMB route, at the foot of Europe’s highest peak, and through the Gran Paradiso Valley. Four stages, three difficulty levels each day.

A trail running training camp in the Aosta Valley, featuring sections of the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB), the UTMB, and the CCC in the heart of the Mont Blanc region. It’s the Aosta Valley Trail Experience: six days spent between two picture-perfect valleys, with a local guide, luggage transport, a 3-star hotel, and full board arranged from start to finish. We’ll start in Cogne, an oasis of alpine elegance, and explore the contrast between its endless meadows and the technical steepness of Valsavarenche, in the realm of the ibex and the chamois, beneath the gaze of Gran Paradiso. Then we’ll head to Courmayeur, at the foot of Mont Blanc, and run along the TMB against the backdrop of the vast expanse of Europe’s highest peak. There are four stages ranging from 7 to 27 km, and each day you can choose between a short, medium, or long hike. Groups are limited to a maximum of 25 people.

Terms and Conditions

Climate and Security Clause

The guide reserves the right to cancel, shorten, or modify any route included in this trip for safety reasons, including, but not limited to: bad weather, snowfall, avalanche risk, mountain thunderstorms, extreme wind, extreme cold, fog, or low visibility on mountain passes, and any other conditions that the guide deems to compromise the group’s safety.

This decision rests solely with the guide at the time; it is made based on the information available that day and is not subject to negotiation. The group’s safety always takes precedence over the itinerary. Whenever possible, an equivalent alternative activity will be proposed, or the itinerary will be rearranged to take advantage of better weather windows on other days. This may involve changing the order of the activities from the original schedule.

Days or activities canceled due to weather or safety concerns are not eligible for a refund, as they result from a safety decision and not from a cancellation of service by Vertidissim.

Reservation and Cancellation Policies

Reservation: To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required; this deposit is nonrefundable except as indicated below. The remaining balance is due up to 60 days before the departure date.

Cancellation by the participant:
More than 60 days before departure: 100% refund of the amount paid, minus the deposit.
Between 60 and 30 days before departure: 50% refund of the amount paid, minus the deposit.
Between 29 and 15 days before: 25% refund of the amount paid, minus the deposit.
Less than 15 days before or no-show: no refund.

Cancellation by Vertidissim: If the trip is canceled for reasons beyond the participant’s control (not to be confused with the weather clause, which applies to specific activities during a trip that has already begun), 100% of the amount paid will be refunded, or the trip will be rescheduled for another available date.

Insurance: Travel and accident insurance is not included. We recommend purchasing a policy that covers trip cancellation, accidents, and mountain rescue, as Vertidissim cannot be held responsible for unforeseen personal circumstances (accidents, illness, flights, etc.).

Name Changes: You may transfer your spot to another person up to 15 days before departure, subject to a €50 administrative fee.
